About the Provincial Festival
The PEI Provincial Music Festival, held annually at the end of May, is the final stage of the local festival season. Top performers from all four PEI local festivals are invited to:
- Perform at a provincial level
- Compete for recognition and awards
- Receive expert feedback from our adjudicators
How to participate in the Provincial Festival
- Enter at least two classes at your local festival (selected from our syllabus) with repertoire meeting the required standard (where specified).
- Receive a recommendation from your local adjudicator.

- Vocal
- Musical Theatre
- Piano
- Strings
- Brass
- Woodwind
- Percussion
- Classical Guitar
- Instrumental Ensemble
- Band
- Choral
- Composition
Required Levels for Piano and Strings:
- Junior (11 & under) RCM Level 2–5 or equivalent
- Intermediate (14 & under) RCM Level 5–8 or equivalent
- Senior (18 & under) RCM Level 8–10 or equivalent
- Advanced (30 & under) Advanced repertoire
Cost:
There is no fee to enter the Provincial Festival.
Support your PROVINCIAL Music Festival
The Prince Edward Island Kiwanis Music Festival Association is a non-profit organization, and as such we rely on the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers for our festivals to take place each year.
Donations are always welcome and receipts will be issued for all donations of $10.00 or more.
We have a CRA number so your receipt can be used for Income Tax purposes.
