PROVINCIAL FESTIVAL ELIGIBILITY

Performers of Intermediate age and above, with 2 or more suitable classes are eligible for recommendation to the Provincial Festival by Local Festival adjudicators.

Performers of Junior age, with 1 or more suitable classes are eligible for recommendation to the Provincial Festival by Local Festival adjudicators.

NOTE – New this year: Intermediate performers need to perform in 2 or more classes at their local festival to be eligible for Provincial Festival, which may include the new recital class and must include 1 Ballad and 1 Up Tempo.

3. Monday 12 February – Queens County Music Festival entry date changed to 28 February.

4. Saturday 17 February – Rules and Regulations: Senior age changed to 17 and under.

5. Tuesday 27 February – Musical Theatre: wording changed in “Additional Information” boxes to match the above clarification (pages 106 and 108 of Full Syllabus document)

If you hope to progress to the Provincial Festival (31 May -1 June 2024), make sure that you select appropriate material and have entered enough classes to make you eligible for consideration.
If you hope to be recommended to progress through to the National Festival (11 – 31 July 2024), make sure that you have read the appropriate pages in the National Festival Syllabus and have selected material and classes that make you eligible for consideration.
